Like all kids, mine need to be entertained. Like all parents, I struggle with trying to find educational entertainment that doesn’t involve YouTube clips of penguins.
So I took to the computer and made a game for Miss 3.
I used:
– colour printer
– laminator
– velcro dots
I printed photos of our family, cut them out, laminated them and then stuck half of the velcro dot on the bottom.
I then printed names of our family, cut them out, laminated them and stuck the other half of the velcro dot on the back.
How To Play
I ask my child to choose a photo and say their name, then sound out the letters. We then search for the name together. This helps my daughter to recognise letters and identify names. And because it’s the faces of people she loves it keeps her entertained.
If anyone has made games for their kids I’d love to hear about them!
(Disclaimer – Miss 3 is now 5, and she loves this game even more now! Mr 2.5 is now having his turn)
I love this!! Definitely going to incorporate this into our classroom! Thanks for sharing!!!
